Xbox??? Who is this Xbox??
Hey guys,

I think it might be hardware related, but my computer keeps waking up from sleep randomly. My mouse isn't the culprit, since it turns off after a while, requiring a click to turn it on. My motherboard is a P8H67M-LE, and Wake on LAN is disabled.

It could be a sticky key/ switch on one of the keyboard or mouse buttons. Best to try different hardware to go through a process of elimination. So plug in another keyboard / mouse and see if it does it. Or it could be something else connected externally.

Might also be a software issue (such as Windows checking for updates at a certain time of day).

Things that can make a PC wake up from S3 mode are.

Bluetooth devices that are installed.
Ethernet port
Keyboard/Mouse
Modem
and few other things that are lost in my mind.

If you have a bluetooth USB deviced installed remove it, I found out about this one cause my PC kept waking from sleep cause of it.

Make sure your ethernet port has the option "Allow this device to wake up PC" disabled.

A faulty keyboard which has a button that is semi-depressed can cause this.
A minor movement in the mouse will also cause this.

Is it asleep, or just at a black screen saver? The screen saver can turn off the monitor without putting the PC to sleep, and any mouse motion (bumping the desk, for example) will turn the screen back on.

It is also possible to set a USB mouse to wake the PC from standby.

EDIT: you already said your mouse turns off, but I'll leave my post for anybody else that might come along someday.
