Computer question

Dummy here with a dumb question.
I have a Dell Studio XPS 8100 that I got in 2006. The specs that I could find are:
ACPIx64 based PC
i7 2.80 GHz 860@2.8 GHz
8 Gig ram
NVidia GeForce GTX 260

If I put in a GeForce 980 and added a 250-500 Gig solid state drive would that work well for Project Cars?

The 980 is great. The SSD isn't necessary to run the game but will make loading times much shorter. Not sure about the i7 though. Have to get someone already running the game to see if it's enough CPU to run everything on ultra which will be a possibility with the 980.
