Computer Slowing!

I am running an Emachines Athlon 64 3000+ PC with 1 Gb of ram for the internet. Right now it has a constant cpu usage of at least 40%!!!
I can't even play LFS anymore because the frame rate is so slow!!!!

I checked for spyware and there was none, and I checked all of the processes running and there's nothing unusual. What's happening????

Have you tried formatting it?

Your vid card could have dropped some ram...

Wow, It doesn't seem to be doing it today!
Strange, It only got worse with a virus scan. I had to shut the rig down and boot it back up to restore it back to normal ram usage.
