I cant get windows to boot up...it attemps to load and says it wasnt succesfull. Puts you in the boot screen . Safe mode doesn't work .

It says a recent hardware or software change might be responsible for the failure.

I'm clueless right now.

I dont know how to check the harware and software without using windows.

I just get a loop ...it keeps trying to load but wont.

Any suggestions ?

Or a starting point to help figure it out ?

I had something similar with my PC a while back, and my mate solved the problem for me by taking out a network card I had installed...

The card worked fine for ages, but for some reason it just stopped working one day and made it impossible for the computer to even start up.

He opened the case up and took out everything that wasn't needed for the computer to boot. My sound card, my network card, the CD Rom drive and then tried to start it up. It worked - and then he shut everything down and put the stuff back in piece by piece... when he put the network card back in, the computer died again - hence, I bought a USB network card, and haven't had any problems with it since.

I've had this problem before, and I suspect it was the wireless card (as many other people suggested it to me, and it made sense). My computer insurance people refused to listen to me, though, and incisted that I reinstalled Windows. Strangely enough, that didn't fix it. Hmm... :D

But yeah, try removing any network cards if you can. Just disabling it from the boot sequence or in the BIOS (god knows why there was an option in there in the first place...) probably won't work. It's just one of those reasons why XP was said to be so bad at networking when it was new, I guess.
