Concepts by Gran Turismo in GT5?

Hey just a question for all you out there... So in GT5p we saw custom cars modified by PD, called 'Concepts by Gran Turismo'. As the purpose of GT5p was to show off their progress and allot of the cars were tuned, do you think that this will be implemented in GT5 and if so how?

again, keep in mind that this is purely speculation, but if you have any information that might support this, that would be great.

thats a great idea, but im saying could this possibly be a hint that there will be tuning in GT5... i mean the executive producer of the game said that his favorite feature has yet to be announced... who knows what that could be...

I thought he was talking about the Track Editor which was revealed a few days later.
 
I think the the concepts by gran turismo are the result of what you can do to a premium car.

But they could also be a one off car that has just been created by PD.

I'd like it to be the first option but I will have to wait untill I get it to be sure.

A reveal usually entail visual proof.
 
Given Toyota/Lexus' procrastination or outright refusal to introduce the LFA into SUPER GT to replace the oddly proportioned SC430 race car, PD should produce a Lexus LFA 'SUPER GT Concept by PD'. The car would look very menacing in its carbon livery.
 
I am not sure I get this thread. Do you think there may not be tuned versions of cars in GT5? Or do you think there might not be tuning at all in GT5?

Either way both are obvious inclusions. It's like asking 'do you think there will be races in GT5?'.

The road version sc430 is the most pointless and useless car I've ever had the displeasure of driving. As a supergt car, it's fantastic. Why change that?
The main reason however is that LFA is a V10 and supergt cars require v8s. They could reuse the same v8 from the sc430 but with the lfa being as expensive as it is before the supergt treatment and the low volume they're making, I don't see the LFA in supergt for another year at least.

Im asking if you think there will be tuning or any kind of visual customization in GT5, based off the fact that GT5p had 'Concepts by Gran Turismo'...
 
Maybe... But wasn't the reason half the GT Concepts even exsisted because of the absense of race cars GT5p?

Yes, tuning has been confirmed AGES ago.

Yes, visual. Stuff like exchanging bumpers and hoods, or adding wings.

Kaz himself. Even though they haven't truly unveiled the feature, he's very proud of it.

It's likely limited to premium cars though.

Since most Premium cars will likely be race cars like Super GT and NASCAR, I'm going to assume that it will also apply in some degree to Standard cars too.

We might see the same limitations to visual customization that Need for Speed has usually applied to the top-end cars, that being that there isn't any.


I would honestly be happy if at least every car in the game had the option to add a front diffuser, a simple race-y side skirt and a spoiler. Enough to make the car look like it's made for the track, so that a possible Livery Editor can make up for the rest.
