Concern for my ps3 during 24h endurance

So, I'm nearing the checkpoint where My B-spec drivers are able to enter the two 24h endurance races.
The problem however is that I can't leave my AC in my room all day, it's midsummer in Cali, and it gets hot in the room, heating my ps3 too.
I have a fun that circulates the hot air out the rear of my ps3. it still gets warm...
Is it really safe to attempt the 24h endurance?
or should I just avoid it?

It should be safe. I have left my PS3 on for 14 days straight grinding the B-Spec.

Actually electronic devices wear out more with the constant tuning it on and off rather than staying on for long periods.

You can try leaving it out in the open with an open window and play it while it's positioned upright. It'll help with cooling while it runs.

Dust it off too.

Is it a fat or a slim? Fats will overheat eventually, but the slims are good to go.Just after you run the race, turn it off for about an hr.Or you can do like I did, put a fan in front of it to give it more cool airflow. =)

Fats, slims, it doesn't matter. As long as your PS3 is properly ventilated it won't overheat simply from being used.

You will be fine. I got a friend that hasn't turned off his PS3 in 2 years and it is fine.

I've read that if you go to display settings and put your TV in 480i(or whatever the lowest setting is from PS3 to TV) the system will run the game easier. Im not sure if its true, but I know I read it

I would imagine he has a huge electricity bill every month.

lol I bet. But he is a developer for Microsoft so I don't think he worries about bills very much
