After seeing the cockpit that Amar used for this Fanatec review I thought I would try and make one of my buddies something similar since I alreay have a 80/20 rig (which I need to take some more pictures since it has been updated extensively.) I used galvanized conduit for the frame and unistrut for the seat mounts, ofcourse I haven't grinded my welds or got to work on it aside from just building it but it looks like it will shape up ok. Still need to add the seat, shifter mount, pedal mount, and paint. And since it is tubular I might be able to fish the wires through the frame.
I placed and old seat from my MG on it to make sure the fitment is right, I just sat it on the unistrut to see what it would look like. I still need to mount a wheel and seat to make sure. Not to bad for 3 hours worth of work. I don't know which rig Amar used (didn't ask) but I looked at the picture and tried to go off of that. I will post more pictures as I get further into the build, everything that has been built so far was done in a small amount of time, so as it comes together I will keep it updated. Below is a picture of the rig he used and then the one I tried to interpret to an extent. Anyway thought I would share a setup that looks pretty easy to build if you can weld.
Below is the rig from Amar's review.
My lame attempt
