I was watching Top Gear on discover channel. i was watching it and from what i can remeber here is the cars specs.


Price: Too Much, around 1 million
Horsepower: 540
Top Speed: 246


This is all i can remeber for now. I can tell about new updats on the car if i see it again.

yes, i didnt know how to spell it. And it shuldnt be in production for a long time. Currently its a concept. So i think.

No - it's in production all right.

There's two versions - a 600hp Koenigsegg CC8 and an 800hp Koenigsegg CC-R. THe CC-R just set a time of 7'39 straight from the factory with no tinkering on the 'Ring, hammering the McLaren Mercedes SLR soundly in the process. With the customer-adjustable suspension and braking properly tinkered with to suit the track, a 7'20 is on the cards.

Oh, and it's broken the production car land speed record - 388km/h (or just under 242mph).

The car he was talking about was infact the Koenigsegg CC8S. I saw that episode on the discovery channel myself.

edit: this episode was a bit of a montage of episodes. I don't remember them testing out the koenigsegg and the lotus exige in the same episode.

I used to have a clip of a very highly tuned RX-7 running on the salt flats which took off at 240mph (IIRC). However, neither that nor the CLK above are production cars, so I suppose the title is still to be claimed...
