stop reading and go pick up the september issue of superstreet magazine, cause on page 212 there's an interview with the head guy making gran turismo (cant remember his name) In the interview they ask him about drifting and he says something like the physics are more realistic so you can drift better blah blah blah and then flat out says there will be a drift contest in the game!!! He said it might not be called D1 grand prix but it is a drift contest and it is in the game. September superstreet page 212.
 
i think youre just abit late on the news, but oh well. i think they also want to show off the new phyiscs in the demos, cuz they put in the levin, and tsukaba, and they probably are hoping for someone to pic it and turn off the handicaps and take it to tsukaba and drift it. cuz the rest of the cars that are pickable are abit spicy compared to the levin.

Hopefully it isnt a requirement to get 100% in the game.
 
ppl, I will play the latest build at the playstation expo and ill see if the drift contest will be in it and hopefully do very well in it.
