Confused with my toyota minolta

I unlocked the toyota minolta 88c-v race car and its all suited out and runnin 1040hp/8000 rpms but i can bearly reach 240 on special stage rt 7 n ive seen some videos of people pushing 320 on WAY smaller straights. Basicly i just wana know if theirs some sort of "secret" to the speed i can answer any questions about my current tuning.
 
You would need draft from a X1 to do that kind of speed I would imagine. I am no expert though, were your reading the Kph of the other driver?
 
Route X will do the trick as well. Strech out your gearbox and it will get there.
 
Adjust your gear ratios manually. You can go much higher than what your top speed slider goes up too. Adjust your finals gears and you can easily make your top speed over 300 mph. Also remove all your downforce and raise your front end and lower your rear end in your suspension settings.
 
Im not very good at ajusting the gear ratios im rippin through gears but once i hit 5th im good can hit 250 but its not good for circuts. I think this is the best im going to get with this thanks all

Which tracks/shorter straights have you seen people doing this on? If it is a track you can reach 200mph on, then it is likely you have just seen a video in km/h. 200mph is roughly 320km/h
