Connect PC to PS3 help

I'm trying to transfer files from my PC to my PS3 wirelessly.
My OS is windows vista.
My PS3 recognises my PC but when I enter the icon it says my PS3 might not be registered to the media server.
Possible step by step by step help would be great.
 
I don't think it's possible to transfer files wirelessly to the PS3. The Media server is only for streaming videos & music from the PC to the PS3 but then again I haven't used that feature in YEARS so what do I know.

I use a 15GB flash drive for transfer & those things are cheap nowadays.

You can copy files, but I'm not entirely sure how. I've used MediaLink to copy files from my Mac to PS3 but for Windows, I don't know. Try looking up Null River software and see if they have a Windows version of MediaLink, maybe?
