So I recently playing a neighbor's PS3 so I can decide whether I need one or not. Honestly the only reason is to play GT5
which lives up to my expectations. BD playback is cool too.
At any rate I connected it to my wireless since they didn't have it setup. I also updated it for them and set it up with HDMI (just earning my keep).
I signed up with Playstation ID, logged in and tried visiting the News button on the GT5 main menu so that I can get the latest game updates. After about 2 minutes it comes back and then says:
UPnP seems to be working fine for other things and I can certainly log in to Playstation ID just fine. I have not set up any port forwards. I would assume that updates would all go over port 80 or they can be set up dynamically via UPnP.
