Connection issues

Hi everyone in the last week or so I have had a lot of connection issues with the game, after a couple of minutes being in a lobby I'm getting 'You have been disconnected from the server'. I don't think it's my connection as other games like F1 2010 have been working fine.

By the way my internet provider is BT.

Man I'm having the same problem, it sucks a lot. I think it's because of my poor internet and the big size of GT5.

Has yours been worse lately? Mine used to be ok but now it's awful, for the next update i'd rather have online totally fixed and no DLC.

My problems are worse now too. Man, I really want a new DLC!
 
Do you play other games that have online features?
 
I have been getting a lot of disconnect's from my lounge and so have my friends. This has only been happening for the last 2 weeks, I am getting NAT 2 and so are the others so I have no idea why this is suddenly happening.

This happens to me sometimes as well but I would go with a hard wired connection if I were you.
 
Mine's been awful post-update. Had few problems before, now can't join lobbies around 7/10 attempts... Awful.
 
As I wrote my last post, my PS3 crashed while I was trying to join a lobby and my router had to be reset at the same time. Could it be linked? My connection seems stable at all other times...
 
I have had the same problems since Monday morning I even had to postpone my series as ppl couldn't get in or got kicked out even I got kicked out and I was the host.
Well I hope they fix it before Monday I can't postpone again.
 
I love GT5, I think it's awesome. But the open lobby connection issues is a nightmare. I can sit for 20 minutes just trying to find a room that I can get connected to. The fact that it feels like it takes 5 minutes only for the game to tell you that the connection couldn't be established, or that you've been disconnected from the room, doesn't really help.
The worst part of it all, though, is that there's no information what so ever on what the problem is. Sometimes I get an error code 717, but it doesn't say what it means. I could live with the error if they only told me what's causing it.
