Considering KDS $400 HD 26'' monitor on newegg, HDMI for PS3, DVI for computer

Well reason for DVI for my computer is my computer only has a DVI port for the video card I use (in a couple years I'll upgrade I'm sure for an HD card since what I have is AGP only)

So would this be a wise buy for use with DVI for the computer and HDMI for the PS3?

Oh I can't really tell what HD resolution it is capable of, like is it capable of 720p 1080i 1080p etc.?

Also these are the speakers I want to use for the PS3 if possible

1080p

1920 x 1080 is 1080p for TV's, but this is 16:10 so it's 1920 x 1200.

But if it has 1:1 pixel mapping, it will display 1080p content at 1920x1080. You will have small black bars at the top and bottom of the image.
