Hi All, first post on the forum.
I've been playing racing games all my life but GT5 is the first game I've played online. I've been using a DFGT wheel for several months (on GT4, PC games, and now GT5) so I'm pretty familiar with it. However I have trouble putting down consistent lap times.
I've been working on the GT Academy seasonal events. I'm about 2 seconds off the pace for the Tsukuba race. My best time is 1:06.910. That puts me #716 in the Northeast, no where near being competitive to make it to the next round. I've been trying to push for better times and keep failing spectacularly. If I come into turn one cool, I can't get the nose to turn in. If I come in too hot I overshoot the turn.
I'm looking for some tips to improve my lap times but most importantly I'd like to be able to put down consistent times where I don't feel like I'm at the seat of my pants...but maybe that's the only way to get a good time???
Oh, and I noticed the tires start out blue (cool). Can I expect to get a fast lap time before they are white (warm) or will I not have enough grip?
