Console crashes trying start 1.04 download.

i haven't played in a while. started the game today and it needed the update to 1.04. when i accept the update, it gets to the screen saying please wait, then resets and does a file system restore.

tried twice, then check for a system update, found one and installed it without problems.

tried to update gt6 again and still, it crashes at the same point.

i guess i just don't play gt6 anymore. pretty hacked. is it too much to ask for things to just work...
 
1.04 works fine for many people so its obviously a problem on your end. Do a FULL ps3 system restore and try again. Try a new hdd too.
 
it decided to work. don't know why it didn't. don't know why it does now. at least it does. disregard...
 
Yeah, people have been having problems with downloading updates for Gran Turismo 6. Dunno why.

I had this problem with the 1.03 update but haven't had it since although I now try to be sure and accept the download within two seconds. Cheers
 
for me too! sound crashes, ps3 freezies, disconnect from my own lobby, lagging in the main menu....all this after 1.04

that was my issue exactly. i don't think i accepted with in 2 seconds the time it worked. i don't really recall well now, though.

thanks for posting that as well. i'll know for next time
