Has anyone elese seen this movie yet? I saw it yesterday, and it wasn't nearly bad as I thought it was gonna be. It is kinda like Doom in certain ways, has a Matrix vide to it, since Keanau Reeves' soul must be now owned by Warner Brothers as their action hero. It was kind cool to see their depiction of Heaven and Hell, Angels and Demons, and the war between the two. The special effects were decent, but that didn't dull the storyline, which takes a lot of imagination to believe. It is way out there, but is excecuted well. I was plastered in my seat the whole way throughout the movie.

I give it an 8/10.

My friend says, he liked the movie until the final 1/4 part of it. I'll probably go see this one.

I LOVED this movie. It is seriously the best I've seen so far this year. Strangely, I have not read one positive review of it. Keanu is Keanu, that much is given. If you go to see a movie starring Keanu Reeves, you can't then complain that Keanu ruined it for you. You have to know what to expect from him going in. And I thought he nailed John Constantine right on. It's his best work next to Neo. Sure the characters seem the same; THE SAME ACTOR IS PLAYING THEM BOTH!

The images of hell and the demons that inhabit it make me never want to go there when I die. I loved the Gabriel plot and Peter Stormare as the Devil was just perfect. In fact, though the movie turned into a typical action climax, I didn't think it detracted from the rest of the movie at all. Rachel Weisz and Djimon Honsou were also both excellent.

This one is DEFINITELY worth checking out; the audience clapped for it when it was over. It is by no means deserving of its typical 1 star to 1 1/2 star rating that it's been getting all over North America.

One small problem was the music. It was mixed WAY too low and some tracks didn't fit the movie. It needed some grand choir / apocalyptic music to go with it, and instead it got groove beats like the track that plays at the end credits. But this was hard to notice especially if you don't really take note of the music in a movie in the first place...

I loved the way they depicted hell. Not chlichéd at all, IMO. Hell never seemed so terrifying and scary, before! I also like their explanation of what happens when you die, and how you actually stay in heaven and Hell for an eternity. I won't tell you exactly what happens, because that might spoil it a little.

I thought it wasn't bad, good action movie. Won't win any awards but it was entertaining...which I guess the point of a movie is.

I want to see this movie, but so far these are the only opinions that have said its good, everyone els says its not worth it. Ive seen the trailers and have seen an extended trailer in the cinema and it looked like my kind of film. maybe see it as soon as i can.

Ooohhh I just read Racheal Weisz is in it, I might have to see this ;).

And she is very hot in it. 👍

I agree with both Anderton and Blazin. Like Anderton, I thought it was one of the best movies I've seen this year, if not the best. But it's only February and I haven't seen the two movies I mention at the bottom. Also like Blazin said, it's an pretty good action movie, but it won't win any awards.

If you are sucker for this type of movie(like me), go see it, it's worth at least the matinee price. If you want to see an classic though, I heard that ones to go see are "Million Dollar Baby" and "The Aviator".

Firstly, thats very good to know. Secondly not the correct thread I know but Million dollar baby is very good, the acting is great it's not your usual story but it's very slow paced so if your impatient or like you films to never slow down you probably won't like it as much as I did. The Aviator is one the I've not seen yet, but it doesn't appeal too much to me, I should still watch it though I suppose I've been pleasently supprised by some films I didn't think I'd enjoy in the past.

I wanna see this movie sooooo bad, but our damn theater has had Hitch and something else for about 3 weeks now, and They are putting stadium seats in so its down to two shows.

 Stadium seatings are worth the wait and hassle though, they are great.

I saw it saturday morning (or late friday, whetever). I though it was really good. Keanu was keanu, but I think the character was supposed to be kind of dead, only showing one emotion (the way keanu plays him and almost every character). Even after resolution is found (I don't think that ruins it for anyone, I don't say how or what they are trying to resolve) constantine acts the same way towards Racheal Weisz's character.

I was a bit confused by the role of smoking in the movie. The way they filmed it seemed to glamourize smoking but through the plot (and by throwing the surgeon general's warning across the whole screen) they denounce smoking.

I just want to say this was an excellent movie, except unlike everybody else, im not going to give a long drawn out explanation about why. All ill say is...

The first 5 minutes of the movie(you know, the car part) effin rocked. 👍

Perhaps the most stunning visual in the entire film is when time stops and Gabriel is in mid-pose, I'm not going to give it away for those who haven't seen it, but for those who have seen it, you know what I'm talking about. It was just so perfect.

I also liked when the priest dies in the convenience store and the demon is there and the young clerk is an angel who flexes his wings...beautiful (even if my explanation isn't).

It really pisses me off that all my freinds thought this movie was about a guy who worships Satan. They didn't even see it! And in Brunei they banned it because it involved Devil worshiping?!?

Yeah, that was my favorite part.

Was dissapointed with this. It looked realy good from the trailers, but it just didnt deliver.
Plus the final fight against all those demons was the biggest (& crappest) Blade rip off ever.
I know alot of people slag Keanu off as a bad actor, i never agreed until i saw this, he was so wooden, there was no emotion or effort behind anything he said
6/10

I thought the movie was alright. The trailers showed the best special effects already, so you shouldn't go to the theaters to expect to get more of that. I believe Keanu Reaves is a worthless actor and better off playing "duuudes" like Bill & Ted for the rest of his life. The story and ideas behind the story are pretty cool, but overall it didn't really impress me. Constantine fits kinda in the Blade category. Popcorn entertainment, semi-horror action with demons which don't really frighten anyone..

I was just thinking the other day, mabye Keuanu Reeves (however the hell you spell it) isn't really a bad actor. but hes always in movies where he doesn't have to act, like the matrix movies and this. its all special effects.
