controller issues... maybe...

hey there.

my little in-game avatar has been getting pretty bad about missing shifts lately; as in, i'll be in third, and i'll hit R2 once, but in the game, the car will shift into fifth. what i'm wondering, is if this is a little "quirk" of the super realism engine or whatever, or if it's just time for a new controller.

have i just been missing something blatant for a long time?
 
You could open it up and check the shoulder buttons aren't clogged with anything and the little rubber bits are in place...if they are and it still does it...new controller time
