I have not attempted the x2010 challenge yet and I am a DS3 player. I remember reading that the problem was that the controller would not respond fast enough to make the gold medal achievable for most. Will the coontroller steering sensitivity adjustment help?

Yes

Zero sensitivity is no change at all. But sensitivity set up to 2 means your car would be more sensitive to steering.

plus theyve stuck extra time (abotu 10 seconds) to the required level for bronze. i know i'm gonna sound whiney but its really not hard at all. after i firt tried the chllenenge i got monza fairly quickly but the other 2 are horrible (including failing nurburg by 0.009 :@ ) but post update and having owned an x2010 for a while i got suzuka done in 15 mins at a realy slow pace =/ but it does help to balance the gap between wheels and controllers :)

I am primarily a DS3 player, and as soon as I heard about the steering sensitivity option I turned it up to 7 and I haven't looked back. It makes a huge difference when driving the F1 cars. I went from winning Indy at the seasonals by 7-8 seconds to winning by 15 seconds. I also went from not being able to win the FGT championship to sweeping it with golds. I've not yet tried the Vettel challenge since the change, but now I'm really anticipating it. In my opinion, this was the most significant change with the new update.

I also have an $80 wheel from Gamestop that I haven't really grooved with. I'm hoping the sensitivity setting helps with it as well.

Absolutely agree!! I tried it last night while doing the last 4WD challenge (Mt Aso) first to 3, then 5 and lastly 7... and maan, it makes a hell of a difference when you compare going fast thru the turns (drifting or otherwise) without hitting the fence! You'll have noticably less thumb movement, where one push to the right or left will be enough to go thru a corner... instead of having to center the stick few extra times to get the right amount of turn-in.

Think of this as going from a 3.5 turns lock-to-lock steering on a real life car to a quick ratio one, where it now takes 2 turns :dopey:!! It definitely has to become one of the most effective settings for DS3 users.
