Hello everyone. Happy New Year! I wanted to relate an experience I had with the Controller Steering Sensitivity setting. I did a search and didn't find a better place to post this. If someone has posted something similar I apologize. 1st off I use a DFP wheel. When my old one became dismounted in the quick left-right ess turn @ Cote' d'Azure, it stripped a gear tooth off inside when it hit the floor, which made it skip during a turn. I used my ds3 controller while a new DFP that I bought off of Ebay for $28 (it had about 4 hrs. on it) came. When the new one got here, I had a problem with double down-shifts when using the "paddle" shifter. So I changed the switch-pad circuit board out with the old one I had, then it liked to double up-shift occasionally (which wasn't quite as bad). It was worse for 6 and 7 speed trans. Finally, on a lark, I set the css to 0 (from 4) and voila ! No more problem. In fact I had to go back up to 2 as it took a longer push otherwise (or sometimes 2 tries) with the 5 speed trans in the car i was using (F40). Now I know that it seems unlikely that this particular setting should affect shifting like that...believe you me, i was quite surprised by it....but it appears to work. I have no other explanation for the changes it the way my wheel shifted. I hope that this helps anyone else who may have the same problem. Sorry this post is so long.
