Conventional (Points) to HEI distributor?

Alright, I decided that since my el camino has just got a new engine, I was wondering how difficult it would be to convert the original conventional (Breaker points) disributor to an HEI distributor. Is there any major steps that I have to pass?. It seems to me that their are only 3 wires that connect to the old coil, 4 if you include the tach. I have no problem pulling the distributor and setting putting it back down into the engine. So is there really anything that difficult i nhave to do to wire one? I know I will have to get different plug wires, but an HEI disributor just seems so much more reliable than a distributor in points. Any help would be appreciated :) thanks.
