I found and lost a web link the other day. It was a racing cockpit that looked very similar to the official gtcockpit.com product, but the chair was removable and attached to a standard office chair leg assembly. The cockpit frame could be leveled off, and the pair made a great looking small computer desk.
I think the cockpit came from Italy, but I'm not sure. Has anyone seen this anywhere? I've googled for 5 hours, and I just can't find it again.

about 350 euro's. Not the cheapest, but I think it's exactly what I want. Pair this up with a G25 and I'll be ready for GT5.
The only issue is height. My 47" LCD sits a little high (it's sitting on a tv stand) I may have to prop this entire cockpit up a little higher.
