Convertible NSX ... ?

Custom job. I can't imagine what kind of money you have to have to be able to say, "Sure, I'll buy a $90,000 car and cut the top off".

There was a Targa version of the NSX, but that really only had two lift-out panels above the driver and passenger's heads.

Did I say I want? :D
 
Are you serious? That thing is nasty ugly. I prefer the targas all the way. I believe they had one large pull out over the entire cockpit, though. I'd like a 2001 Targa Manual - the last year before they went to the ugly bug-eyed headlights.
 
I'm after a 1995/6 targa manual. But I've got a few months to wait for that, seeing as I just bought a house.

Without the top up, that NSX looks amazing. With the top up... Meh. And I guess in the UK, most days will be top up days...
 
I've got a moon roof now and I drive with it open all the time. It either has to be VERY cold or VERY hot or raining for me to close it. I assume the same will be true if/when I get an S2000.
 
Thanks LM. . . My girl already creams over getting an NSX, which I believe when she gets back from this job she is doing, we are going to get her a '93 to '95 one, but now that she has seen this one, I'm screwed with her wanting this one :( . . . Sweet car though :D, but if it only came as a auto, she won't want it :D

I've got a Moonroof too... It's amazing how few people know the difference between a Moonroof and a Sunroof - and it's even more amazing how few care.

You say that as if it's a dealer model. This is the only convertible NSX on the planet. Unfortunately he started with an auto ... what an idiot.

I understand it is the only one we have seen, but there are custom shops that will do that :D and now she will want the convertible. . . and yes he is an I.D.10.T. :D

It's not the only one, I've seen at least 3 others. That black one's been on Ebay about 6 times in the last 2 years, I'd be sceptical about it.

Autos are less desirable, cheaper, and more common. Makes sense you'd want to chop one up and turn it into a ****ty looking convertible.

hey Pink Susan, they don't look that bad do they? what is a matter with their appearrance?
 
Dude, they're pretty bad. Look at cars that are designed as convertibles. The cockpit is pretty far back in the car and the 'trunk area' is really small. The NSX has too long of a boot to look good with the top down, and the top up appearance is horrid.
 
What if they just had a hard-top conversion??? that would defiantely look better. . . I really didn't look at the top up postion, I liked the top down position
 
I agree 100% when you put a targa versus a Convertible, but I still like the convertible with its top down. . . different folks different strokes :D

Mhhh... Porshe 550 Spider, Porsche Boxter, Porsche 356 Speedster, Hebmuller Cabrio, Truimph Stag, Alfa Romeo Spider, Wartburg Isabella, Lancia Beta Spider 2000, VW/Porshe 914, Karman Ghia Convertible....


I don't see that much difference proportionatly.
Convertible + big bum = Spider?

You likey the NSX, eh? (: It's in my top 10. Though the more I look at it the less I like the rear quarter. Something about it just isn't right. And I think the new HSC or whatever looks like ass.
