Convertibles with roof down

Hi sorry if this has already been answered. Is there a way to change the settings and drive your convertible with the roof down like there is in the arcade mode?

i wanted tto know this question but i didn't find any where, the only places i know where you can race with the top down is on a couple of the tarmac rally stages and when you are driving alone.

That's correct. The PS2 doesn't have the horsepower to animate the driver of more than one car, so if you're running with another car (or maybe more than 1 other car) it will automatically put the top up.

Thanks for the reply. Thats a shame because some of the cars look really nice with the roof down.

Yeah, it's a shame, because I want to run the Caterham against some other cars, and you can't.

I guess that isnt the reason that you cant race the Nike 2022, or Toyota Triathlon on regular races.
