Converting replays to a recognisable file

Could anyone tell me where i could get software to extract replays from the save file, and then convert them into something windows movie maker accepts?

I am doing the same for GT3 aswell, by the way.
I need to do this, as i am going to make a sort of movie out of replays, and put some decent music in the background, and mabey even make it into an advert for a car.


Right, so let's sum it up.
Does anyone know of any software that makes replays from gt4 (or gt3) into a proper video file, that opens with windows movie maker (if it opens in windows media player, it'll open in movie maker).

well there is no way to go right from the ps2 to usb file for movies. Only way I know if is to use a capture card.(video out from ps2 ---->to capture card in) ATI's all in wonder for example would work fine. Then you can compress to the format of your choice.

To sum it up...when your ps2 saves a replay to your mem card ....its only storing the information about it to rebuild that scene later (the file size on the mem card is a dead give away here). It does not store any raster based content. mearly vector trails of the car path and all other information it needs to build that scene later. Basically the movie itself is never on the mem card...only the cue's to rebuild that movie from scratch via the ps2 hardware.
