Cookie Problems With IE7

I cannot permanently store my cookies with IE7 anymore. Every time I shut down the PC, my cookies are "deleted", thus making me re-enter my user name and password for every forum I visit once I start my PC back up.

With IE6, I could store my cookies, with a program I have, in my temporary internet folder and mark them as don't delete, and they wouldn't be deleted but all other cookies and files would be deleted.

Odd, but the cookies are still stored in my temporary internet folder after shutting down and then starting back up, but somehow my cookies are not working. They'll work if I clear my unsaved cookies with the program I mentioned, or if I close out of IE7. But, if I shut down the PC, they wont work even though they're still in my temporary internet folder after starting the PC back up again.

What can I do to resolve this? I've tried every thing I can think of.

EDIT Correction, the cookies I save with the program are not being stored after I shut down. That's the problem. Why not? It always did before.

How do I correct this?

Go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy Tab.

Check that the slider is on Medium, or adjust it so that the cookie settings (displayed on the right) suit your taste. Note that if you move it all the way to the top, no cookies are stored; all the way at the bottom, every cookie will be stored.

It's on "Medium" setting already. I even clicked on the "Advanced" tab, and turned both on and off the "Cookie Override" setting. I even selected different options for "First Party Cookies" and "Third Party Cookies." No combination works.

Anybody else having this problem?

UPDATE

Well, it appears I'm not the only IE7 user suffering from this problem. It looks like dozens of people have this problem and are complaining to deaf ears about it.

MS, in their usual thinking, cannot find a reason why IE7 would delete all temporary internet files (folder) when the computer is completely shut off, so they say there isn't a problem with IE7 deleting custom cookie settings or temporary internet files (folder). Assholes are ignoring the problem, as usual. It would be nice if they said they were looking into this problem, or at least recognize our complaints except they say, "There's nothing wrong with IE7. We are perfect. You're too stupid to use a computer. Blah, blah, blah."

My whole temporary internet folder is being deleted from my PC after turning it off. IE6 never did that. My custom (stored) cookies always remained on my PC, but not any more.

I think it's time to purchase a Mac.
