Matt Black with Rosso Monza wheels...

Now that's just awesome. I want that IRL.

I also tend to do that although I don't strictly limit it to the same manufacturer but broaden the scope by links between manufacturers.
Given the incestious, or opportunists, nature of the car industry that obviously means almost all car brands are in some way linked through past and present collaborations or connections ofcourse but some combinations seem more 'appropriate' than others.
For example my Grigio Ferro Fiat 500 (the new one) is rather obvious, my 2 Paganis Zonda R painted in Mercedes-Benz colours slightly less perhaps and there are other less obvious combinations.
There are exceptions, Lotus being the independant engineering consultant (often secret) for a lot of different brands is the perfect 'excuse' to paint a lot of different cars in my garage in a Lotus colour (although that has more to do with me liking a lot of Lotus paints like Gunmetal :p).
And if I just like a certain colour on a certain car which aren't linked I can be equally opportunistic as the car industry. ;)
Recently I've read an article about the Miura and it showed pictures of one in a colour called Oro Metallizzato which I wanted on one of my Miuras, the only colour I could find in GT5 which came close (and had a nice sounding and similar name) was Oro Chiaro coming from a Ferrari 512BB.....so I cheekily painted it that. :D

Or maybe I'm just taking this videogame a bit too seriously....

We operate entirely too similarly, sir. One might even say our our GT5 habits are...

*dons CSI shades*

Analogous.

:p

I do have a small set of paint chips that I use for any sorts of vehicles (Estorilblau Metallic, Frash Green, Camelia Red, Kenya Orange), but typically, I do try to stick to "related" companies, however tight-knit or casual-acquaintance they are. With over 4000 paint chips, I have a lot of options :D

My special Al Thani Turquoise Blue is one. Many of you have seen this car online and it's grown popularity over the weeks. I have the Lamborghini Murcielago SV in the colour and a while back I used to drive with a Ferrari 599 of the same colour. It is always in my lounge "Cruising & Driving", sadly we attract some bad and aggressive attention from people who claim we are showing off. However most of the people who pass by give a welcoming alert to the car. Also, keep in mind I don't race this car, it's %100 stock and is a blast to drive as it is.

If you thought about it, you would figure out that he has it in GT5.

Carsonc deserves a jesus facepalm but i'm not using something that can upload pictures atm.

I painted my grand sport C4 forest green, which goes really nice with the red stripes.

Body: Matte-/Matt Black (PD´s or Lexus Paint-chip)
Rims: Championship White or Matte White

Any Car looks good with that ;)

My favourite though:
Body: Spectrum Blue Metallic (Premium Jaguar Colour best in game Chip !!!!)[maybe I forgot the correct name but it has Spectrum in it]
Rims: Silver/White/Chrome your choice
On a Ferrari F40 pure sexyness !

*facepalm

Ok now people keep thread on the rails.(face desk) for cars though..

bay side blue. champagne red, and any classic beige or bronze, lite gold etc
Chrome rims. or silver metallic.

On a Volkswagen Golf VI R, make it an orangish yellow (forgot the color) :dunce: and use BBS rims. Then, put a black carbon fiber hood on it. It's on another thread on the GTP Forums.

On topic: Black with silver/chrome. Goes with everything.

I have Cortez Silver Metallic (though the car was originally painted black, if that affects anything) and chrome Boyd Coddington wheels on my '69 Camaro.

I have the Mazda MX-Crossport concept K2RED on the body of my zo6 coupe, one of my favs.
The wheels are silver chrome.

OP, if you love messing around with cool paints I highly suggest buying a couple of the DLC paint packs. Some of the color pallets are honestly useless, but just for the Flourecsent, Pastel, Color Change and Chrome pallets alone is worth the $2 if you enjoy customizing paint jobs (to the extent we can in GT5 anyway). I've bought 5, lol.

Though unless you're really hardcore into painting GT5 cars, it might be a little late and too close to GT6 for people to care about spending more money on GT5. I bought my last one a couple months ago just to top off my stock of flourescents and chromes just so I have them I guess. But even I'd have a hard time justifying spending more at this point.
