this is a story my dad told me. about his college days.

my dad and his friend bucky went to clemson in north carolina and during a night where my dad and bucky were party hoppng the came to a frat house with a awesome band playing in a living room they rocked out and only the band my dad and his friend and like 10 other guys were there (girls left due too loud music) and it turns out as the band was a young and unknown lynard skynard!!! he said they made some small talk and stuff... this was in the early 1970's
 
that's awesome dude 👍 I really like Lynyrd Synyrd quite a lot.

My mom lived down the street and personally knew the Van Zant brothers when they were teenagers. :)
 
Perhaps they should have called their first album 'Pronounced Leh-Nerd Skin-Nerd, Spelled Lynyrd Skynyrd'... :sly:

Ironically, in the early days, they were called 'Lynard Skynard' for a short while before adopting their permanent name...
