talking to my new friend on AIM and he didn't know it...so i was wondering if anyone else knew this trick that i knew for a while.

ok, so simple. if you are trying to get a car in a series, and someone is gonna pass you in points and you don't wanna do the race, then you can block them or whatnot, and make all four other cars pass him. after that he will be in 5th, and u will be in 6th. quit the race and the person you crashed finishes where you crashed him. i only did 5 races in the PD Cup, and still won the series. it seemed obvious, but i didn't know if ppl knew this trick...so i shared it.

Yeh...But if you haven't done the race for yet, you'll still have to go back and do them anyway.

How does this trick work? because if you quit the race then you dont get any points period no matter what place you are in. Even if this did work then you finish 5th, and that only gives you like 2 points, hardly enough to win a race if you did this everytime. I am obviously missing something here. :odd:

All you have to do is the first 5 or something races(if in a 10 race series). Then you will have 50 points(if you got 1st place on the 5 races). So whoever is in second place with points, go to the next race and get him in last or 5th place and quit then he will only get a few points and won't be able to catch up to you as quickly. Then do this on the next race if anybody is close to you in points.

Wouldn't it just be easier to learn how to drive and enjoy the game?

I got a cool trick:

Buy a gameshark,.. input the codes for all the golds,.... can you believe it!!!! You dontt have to even play the game to win! It will be sooooooooo fun!

:D

I seem to have two different personas when playing GT3, making it cross between being a driving sim and just a game. Most of the time I play just for enjoyment, and as I get more experienced, that's been happening more often. I'll pick the underpowered car and race without certainty of finishing first.

But sometimes I just want a cool car. I'll skip races, crash AI, do the save trick, whatever I have to do to get it. Then I'll go back and enjoy it more later.

Nothing wrong by me with either method.

Have you ever come across a car that did it itself?

I've done Laguna Seca and a certain race with the R390, at the end of about the 6th or 7th lap, it crashes straight into a wall next to the pit lane and sticks there until some other car hits it.

omg, its just a trick. maybe some ppl don't sit at home and play gran turismo from 3am-11pm. i have other things to do, and i do like getting series done faster.

edit>> and i said IF U DON'T WANNA DO THE RACE.
