Stock Shelby Cobra on a custom 7+km course generator track I made using the Toscana Tarmac theme.
Full course run starts at 2:25
Stock car, hard Sports tyres all round, no aids and ABS brakes. Brake bias adjusted to 5:3.
Using a DFGT wheel.Tricky car to drive on the limits :)

Integra Type R DC5 crash and rollover.

How I earned my Roll Over Trophy - although not quite a full roll over :)

Stealth NSX GT500 at Indy Road Course

Getting to grips with the NSX GT500. The physics of this car feel awesome. Feels very much like in the GT Academy time trial, but with a better tyre model. You can catch slides now with the DFGT wheel and the Force Feedback feels better
No aids, no ABS, brake balance set to 4:2

Online race - WRC cars at Laguna Seca

Fairly clean race, apart from the scary first lap on cold tyres, and some incidental contact that looks worse than they felt.

All aids were off apart from ABS. Using a DFGT wheel.
Not sure what settings the race had though, but damage is probably turned off, and maybe track edge grip reduction was set on low - there were a few times I expected to lose control, but it's WRC car after all :)

During the practise/qualifying laps I did lose control pretty badly a few times. On soft racing tyres, the grip and control is good. On medium sports tyres the car will oversteer sometimes coming out of turns!

The car felt a bit understeery, despite the 30:70 4WD torque split, especially on cold tyres on the first lap. The front medium racing tyres started to go off and feel less grippy around the 5th lap. You can see they were more worn out in the tyre display on the upper left

V1.03 online Damage - Renault Clio Sport V6

You can see gaps in the skid marks indicating that the tires are losing and regaining traction with the road from the suspension damage

B-Spec tuned Subaru Impreza 22B and Nissan GT-R spec V at Tsukuba

I've been searching for a 22B in GT5 for a while, then when I entered a B-Spec race with my tuned GT-R Spec V with 630+ HP driven by my B-Spec driver V.Baron., I saw this lovely example, with most likely a race exhaust :)

My driver V.Baron is just about as fast as me on this track with the GT-R. Sub 1min. He's at level 15. So the AI can be fast, but Polyphony Digital for some reason likes to dumb em down :(

My GT-R specV has a race exhaust and sound a bit like the 370z with the same in the game.

Lexus LFA at Nurburgring - foggy - dynamic time and weather

The angry angel sings at the Ring....dynamic lighting and atmosphere looks so realistic! Photo mode pics taken from the replay

Excuse my driving, I was just testing out the dynamic time and weather system :)

Mclaren F1 road car + LM imitation - Tsukuba and raining Nurburgring

Stock Mclaren F1 with it's hard sports tyres. Pretty hard to control without any aids and a wheel! You need to be careful with the throttle.
The LM imitation addons, wing, skirts and front splitter add extra downforce which helps, along with using sports medium tyres. Big difference in grip

I made a video showcase of my first car, a Eunos Roadster '89 :)

Decided to spruce up my first car and tune it up a bit more with off the shelf parts only. Paint off a MR2. Slapped some medium sports tyres on, with no aids or ABS brakes and took it to Autumn ring for a track session.

Dare I say it, feels go kart-ish now!
Fastest lap of the session shown - 1'31.931 at 181hp 935kg

I lowered the car quite a lot, maybe too much as it seems the suspension is bottoming out and causing the car to hop over the curbs

v1.05 race at Tsukuba against AI - damage on - my tuned Eunos Roadster '89

AI seems improved, when damage is on, they try to avoid you. I'm driving pretty aggressively, and yet I didn't get hit by any of them. Mind you with mechanical damage on I'm trying to drive carefully too :)

Just wish they could be faster :(

Funny damage glitch at 4:05, sometimes it shows, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes it looks weird...

Tuned Mustang GT - exhaust, and gameplay vs replay sound

Not the sort of car I would buy, but it's needed for the bonus online seasonal events. So I had to spice it up :)

Anyway there seems to be a difference between the sound in gameplay and replay. Listen to the warble in the gear shifts etc in the replay version...

A couple of online race videos against Japanese guys. I like racing em, despite the slight lag, I always have good races against these guys.

I hate using Racing Softs, but everyone seems to use em online :(

RX-7 FD at Suzuka
Using a RX-7 FD I built for the recent seasonal event. Nice battle with the Evo 4.
Limits for the race were 1000kg minimum weight and 485hp.
Car felt a bit understeery, need to retune the suspension.

SuperGT race at Fuji - Stealth NSX GT500
Beaten to third at the line. I got shunted off the track at the start, I didn't see the guy there on my left, I should have looked, but I didn't have anywhere else to go.
Didn't realise I had my wipers on :)

Lotus ELise 111R online race at Tsukuba + others

Another race against Japanese folks. Yes I do like racing against them even despite the lag.

I love low horse power races, just more fun to me. And a pretty interesting collection of cars in this race. Both premium and standards mingling in harmony :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

I didn't have any cars that fit the race specs of 800kg minimum weight and 200HP max, that also had soft racing tyres, so I decided to use one of the GT5 stock recommended cars, since they come with all tyres.

I've never driven a Lotus Elise 111R on Tsukuba, but it seems race tyres smooth out the inherent twitchiness of the mid engined short wheel base configuration, although once in a while it'll snap sideways when you least expect it to, like at 4:30 :)
A bit like real life then.

Within a few laps I qualified 2nd, stock against tuned cars! It just felt like understeer doesn't exist in this car. Seemed like this car is just made for this track, and I had a big advantage over the front wheel drive cars in this race :D

Me think I'll buy me one of these....
You can barely hear my car though, against the exhausts of tuned cars. And my car looked so high off the ground :p
Race was a lot of fun, and felt good to beat the host (the 2nd placed MX-5) which probably spec'ed the race to fit perfectly with his tuned car ;)

That Race mod Golf GTI looks pretty cool too
