Hey guys. I had an idea for some game mode I'm making soon and since it won't work with just random people on GT Online, I was thinking I can share the idea here and maybe, members from here can join my online session and play along.

So basically, I'm trying to make a Cops 'N Robbers type gameplay. We all are on SSR7. It's a 16 player room. Half of the players are Outlaws while the other are Cops. Mechanical Damage is set up to heavy. The course is set 2-3 laps.

The outlaws use normal street cars that you see on the road everyday (under 350 hp) while the Cops use any car that have a real high top end.

The Point of the whole room is for the outlaws to avoid the cops and win the race. The outlaws wait for the race to start and the cops are strategically placed on random parts of the highway just coasting or parking on the side.

Either the Outlaws speed which causes the cop players to chase them or slow down at normal speed in which cop players don't do anything.

The cops win if they are able to damage the outlaw enough that he can barely move which is how heavy mechanical damage comes to play since the outlaw car can be rendered almost useless. Basically, if the outlaw players car is fully damaged, he stops and waits at the same spot till the race ends or just quires to spectate.

Anyone want to try out my idea? To me, I think it could be pretty epic if played right,

This sounds like it has some really awesome potential for fun.

I just don't get the whole thing with speeding and such? Why would the Outlaws want to speed when they can just go slow and finish the race? How do the Cops know when they're not able to hit the Outlaws?

Also, how would you position the cops "strategically"? You mean you'll start a race and have all the Outlaws wait while the cops get set up then start the race at a certain time yourselves?

Well, I wouldn't think anyone would want to go slow in a 15 mile course. If they see a cop, yeah, they can slowmdown. And if the cop wants to chase, if he sees someone speeding on the HUD, he'll chase him no matter what. Don't forget the cop will have the exotic car.

For the "strategic" location, yeah. Give the cops a 3 - 5 minute headstart to let them park/ stroll in a section of the track they want to guard. Otherwise it'll be a whole cluster of pointless crashing at the start.

That's....what I'm trying to figure out. I mean, its flawed gameplay, but I guess disabled cops will have to opt out of the race.

Idea, if you set damage to light after a while it resets it self. Also Cops can chase down anyone but in set areas e.g first hairpin area or the tunnels. If the outlaw gets out of the area the cop has to turn back. get some people to sit out and watch in order to make sure rules are followed then rotate racers, cops and referee's when race ends

Does this game have a crown victoria? I know I have seen a police interceptor skyline but don't know if its siren lights work; it'd be cool to have an actual police car.
