Was having a look through some sites today and saw this article.

Firstly it confirms GT6!

Also Kaz talks about how you will be able to transfer cars from GTPSP to GT5 and also to later versions of Gran Turismo so you will in fact "own" that car from then on.

Oh dear lord...

Another thought, does this mean that all PSP cars will be in GT5 then? if we can copy them over it would suggest so.

Well I posted it more for the features it talks about rather than the GT6 then.

I take it in the same way that Rock Band downloads will work on all future Rock band titles if you know what i mean.

Which article was this? Never mind, it's up now. This is very good news. No more endless hours of saving credits up to buy the most expensive racing cars. Not that it's a bad thing to do, I just thought that prize money in GT4 was a little harsh.

Well yes, but it is an interview with Kaz where the information comes from. Which you can watch. So this information is relatively credible would you not say.

i duno if i like the idea of transfering cars over ect.. i recently started GT4 again from a blank slate and i have to say half the fun in the game is the struggle to get cars and money.. especially when your getting 600 credits for a win! it adds to the game..

being able to instantly transfer accross a full raft of race ready cars in my eyes kind of defetes the object of the game doesnt it?

GT6 won't be too far after GT5 I'd imagine.

All the assets are now in place....just add a few more cars, a couple more tracks and you've got another $60 release which people are still going to buy.

Could not agree more, its one of the parts of GT I love.

Instead of just giving you the cars, what about being able to buy them from your other GT saves at a reduced price? You can still get the cars quicker than normal but you also have the whole having to save money thing going on at the same time.

Be careful with this, guys. If you actually watch the video interview, you'll see Yamauchi says the following. He's not being accurately quoted on these other websites.

I'm hoping to make it so that the cars you get in the game are your cars, so even when the system changes, whether be it from PSP to GT5, to future renditions of GT6 and on, [...] you can keep them."

Watch for it shortly after 1:00.

the world will end (december 21 2012) before GT6 will be released :D
let's focus on the upcoming chapter

when gt5 comes out, i definitely won't be going to transfer the cars from prologue onto the full game. i want to start from scratch like every other gt

In the video Kazunori said you can transfer the cars you own, not all the cars of the game. So we will have struggle to get the cars either in the psp or the ps3, but not in both.

Notice, he didnt say just "GT6" but he said "GT6 and on", which means there's more after GT6. We'll take that as confirms now :D.........j/k

Personally, I think being able to copy across all earned cars from one version to another is a stupid idea. So all people do is buy the game, copy over their Enzo or whatever, and then what else is there to gun for in the game? Part of the experience is actually earning those cars in that new gaming engine!

For me, the struggles are going to be the same as GT3 and 4, as I won't be getting a PSP or GT PSP....due to money, and since when I am on the road, I'm generally doing something, so GT5 will be the only one I'll be playing..........with my steering wheel....in my living room, with surround sound :D
