Made in Belgium, this is a ten part series about a deadly virus outbreak centred in Antwerp. As there are no English language trailers about, I can only post the original, in Flemish. The BBC has started showing the series though, with subtitles.

It's quite an interesting look at how society might react under these circumstance as the authorities attempt to quarantine the outbreak. Two episodes are shown back to back each Saturday, available also on iPlayer, four have been shown so far.

So now six of the ten have been shown and things are getting quite interesting. I really think this is an interesting series. Even though it (probably) doesn't have anything to do with a zombie virus outbreak, it shows quite nicely how such an infection spread could take the authorities by surprise and get past all those cops and military types that you'd assume should be able to contain it all.

Watched the last two episodes today. I must say that the end was a surprise. I had the impression that this was to be a standalone series, but from the ending, it could go further.

Definitely a must for any people out there interested in the possible nuts 'n' bolts insight into how
zombie films (not saying that this has anything to do with zombies) go from outbreak to complete failure by the authorities and army to contain said outbreak.

And now, as inevitably seems to happen - a remake is out there: Containment (TV series 2015) not to be confused with Containment (2015) which is a film.

Still, I suppose it'll be handy for those who don't like subtitles of can't speak Dutch or Flemish - and this one has Claudia Black in it :)
