Corrupt save file?

Today I turned on Gran Turismo 5. Which I have been playing for almost a month now. It started loading, I went to watch some TV. 1 hour later, it was still loading. I've tried 3 times and it still isn't working. I'm pretty sure I Have a corrupt save file. Is there any way to fix this?
 
this is akward and embarrasing, I took the disk out, Wiped it (even tough it was clean) and put it back, it started right up. I'll Definatlay make a back up now.
