So my PS3 just froze while the game is saving, so I restarted the PS3, now all my data is corrupted.
I really love this game, I played over 800 hours, I got Gold on every event, The Platinum Trophy, collected so much cars, now all my effort is gone because my PS3 froze ?!

If anyone know a way or something to get my data back, Please Help!

Did you make a backup onto a memory stick?

Have you still got it as it is better than nothing.

I'm screwed...
so, its 50% or nothing ?
I really rather not play it anymore,
I stopped collecting trophies for this game...
Thanks anyway man

Yep 50% or nothing I'm afraid.

In the options menu there is a restore data option. Try that before you load your 50% progress data.

I had the same problem and I got my data recovered. This is what I did. With your ps3 power light at red press and hold the power button until it turn green and back to red. Important don't release the power button until it goes back off. Doing this you would here the ps3 make 1 beep sound while you are holding the button until it turns green and goes back off. With it being red again press and hold the power button like the first time until it goes from green back to red. This time you would hear 2 beep. After doing the 2 above steps turn your ps3 on it should be fine now. If this don't the first time, repeat the steps again. I restored my data atleast 3 or 4 times with the above. One important note with the most recent software update to the ps3 if it says the system will restore the data try it that work for me also.

You mean the PS3 Recovery Menu (Black background and some blue) ?
I've been told this will only recover system files, not savedata or music, etc.
I'll try it. Thank you!

prime example of why you should always do backups lol

|I know what you feel. Today I've lost all my data. File system restore was broken, so I had to recover whole system. Year of GT5 is gone. My last backup is from april. Well, another motivation to play more :D

Wow what a shameful thing it was for you, you have no means but to restart the game all over again once you realize you've already "lost" the data after things go erroneous.

The first time my ps3 got corrupted for this game, it offered the option to restore the system then when I hit restore it just wouldn't restore the system. I though I had to buy a new ps3 but out of desperation I did some searches until I found out how to reformat the system. As a result of reformating the system I lost every game save for all my games. I bought a usb stick and start from scratch again and this time I made sure I backup my save. I had my system corupted again and I had to reformat it again. I logged in on psn and copied my backup. Since then my game got corrupted another 3 or 4 times and using the instructions I give you I was able to restore it each of these times. Give it a try, if you see the screen come with the 5 or 6 options to reformat the system and so on don't use that, try the steps I give you again.
