Good to hear, but I bet you would have liked being Canadian even more...lol..:sly:

I tried to follow Ferrari SP1 ( detuned I presume, the room limit was 521pp ) driven by another member here Lewis_Hamilton at Daytona Road Course, both uses comfort medium and no ABS, braking points are pretty similar throughout the track. We also did a race at 24H Nurb earlier, same tire, and a bit of water on the track, it was a handful on corner exits, but braking distance seems fine to me, similar to other 500pp cars at same CM tire, only bad thing is the twitchy rear and understeer that often occurs when the brake pushed too hard, need little extra attention than cars like 458 or SLS. Just like the N24 GTR, needs time to get used to, maybe the C7 has some "different" suspension alignment ( toe and camber )

I wished we had more time, I had some shutdown error :(, then I had to leave for more than an hour and could not do more races.

I'm actually looking forward to driving it tonight if I get the chance. I'll take it to Monza and see how it compares to the cars I recently tested for the last DeadNuts event which was on SM's but fairly close otherwise. At least it'll give me something to compare to.💡

Awsome news my friend , enjoy the dlc, awsome car .glad you got the cars finally

he HSV is low 1.53 regular on suzuka, it blow away the ghost of my calsonic GTR. The thing i'm more impressed is the braking capacity even in a curve.
I have to go in a room with other HSV to tune, will check if Adrenaline is around here.
I love Canada, i've spent 2 pieces of winter there when i was in love with a canadian girl in the '80th. I know the country side, St Anne, and the city , Montreal. Very cool to live there. But it's too cold, even for a virtual adress.
HSVVVVVVVVrroooommmmm !!! Let's go driving till tomorrow morning.:dunce:

I keep looking at the space between the chassis and tires and think "what I would do to lower the ride height!". It looks so high for a Corvette! But it still has exceptional grip for riding on Sports Hards.

It is very stable as well. Doesn't spin out like crazy or anything. Only real weak point is the braking. It isn't quite as good as you would probably expect.

Also, am I the only one who finds it weird at the relatively low HP? I would think that a prototype would have a lot more HP, even more so than the official release. Having more HP could let them exaggerate whatever thing they are testing for so that it is more evident.

That hp is pretty high for a Corvette. Remember, 6.2l base. No Z06's or ZR-1's here folks!

Did some a bit more scientific tests on Braking Distance on Route X. Used 3 cars for the test - C7 - C6 Z06 - SLS. All on SH tires, All braking from 150MPH-0MPH.

1) SLS AMG - Usually 1+ Car length shorter than C7 (Heavier)
2) Z06 - 1/2 - 1/4 Car length shorter than C7 (Lighter)
3) C7 - Worst of all. Great initial bite but the last 5-10 feet the car just falls apart.

Also disabled ABS on C7 to confirm my thoughts that no ABS reduced brake distance and it did. Put the C7 on par with the SLS. With no ABS I just slammed the brakes on, complete skid and all.

A spec race with the car after monday night event would be great :) maybe at Monza or Spa.

It would, is that you volunteering to organize it?...💡:sly: I am on call 24hrs for work starting tonight until Wed morning so I can't commit to anything either as an organizer or participant. Odds are I won't be working at night, but it happens.

Got a chance to drive the Vette last night at Monza and GP/D and I found the car very stable and predictable in all aspecs but one and that was rear traction. As soon as the tires got a little wear on them, they broke loose fairly easily. Once you know that you can drive around it though. I found a high level of grip, fairly soft but predictable brakes as well. I ran very high (for me) BB's of around 7/2 without ABS as I couldn't get it to lock up with my usual lower figures of 3-4/0. High speed grip was good, no understeer that I could detect even at high speed. Even in Parabolica you could bury it, once you were certain you had enough rear traction.

I ran only 8 or 9 laps at each track, without ABS, and my best couple were in this range:

GP/D Low - 1:40.xxx
Monza 2:01.xxx
Cape Ring South 1:24.xxx

Better laps are certainly possible with some more seat time but those are pretty good times for Spec cars on SH tires in that PP range. I think tuned version of this car are going to be very fast!!
