When I began racing the C5 Z06, I thought perhaps it was one of the most pleasurable cars in the game for several reasons:

The tires wore evenly, so that handling characteristics stayed the same for the whole race

The handling seemed completely neutral, regardless of how accurate to real life this may be

It was capable of keeping pace and being competetive with much more expensive and sophisticated automobiles.

Oddly enough, however, when I decided to see if I could tune it to be slightly quicker, (with a general suspension setup in mind, not tuned for a particular track) I noticed that default, the car had no camber. Finding this akward, I naturally put some in, equal front and rear. This resulted in uneven tire wear and akward handling characteristics that made it hard to keep consistent. I was merely curious if anyone was familiar with improving this particular vehicle in the same respects that made it great initially.

well.. you could try applying my ZR-1 settings on it. I'm not sure if they're good for Z06, but the handling should improve quite a bit. here's the link.

clicky.

imo, ZR-1 settings won't really work.

the ZR-1's weight balance is nothing like the Z06.

it's both heavier and more front biased. it's front biased because its DOHC engine is heavier than the pushrod OHV in the Z06.

ZR-1 also has more natural feeling powerband which enables easier control and better acceleration.. just my humble opinion.

imo, the ZR-1's powerband is a bit too abrupt.

there's no denying its speed but the engine works like a NA version of the Escudo.

very little power under a certain RPM then it all floods in at once.

except the ZR-1's power is a lot easier to deal with.

as for handling, the Grand Sport model is so much more nimble that it basically cancels out the ZR-1's power advantage
