why do people do this? i don't understand
you don't have to tinker all that much!

raise the car back up to 102 mm
set camber at 3.4/2.2
get a wing
30/30 for the df
spring rate of 10.8/10.3

shocks are set at 8

toe 0/-1
stab
5/5

gears
autoset at 21

nothin fancy here
netted a crappy time of 6.15 on the ring

Because people want better setups.

For Derexan:

or

or

This should satisfy your needs, and 30 seconds with the search function brought up a thread with 2 other links with setups, plus a few other setups along with it.

The search function is your friend. Use it. If you don't find anything here, then make a request or go on Google and search for "Gran Turismo Tuning" or something like that.

If Notepad text files wore out, I would've had to replace this one long ago:

Z06 Corvette:

Max it out. Get all the best drivetrain, brake, engine, chassis, and lightweight options. Buy the roll cage stiffener if the car is new, but if it isn't, get the Rigidity Refresher Plan first before you add the stiffener. Don't forget the oil change if its new.

Get Sport Soft tires, which will just barely last through some of the races in events like the Supercar Festival. Use Sport Medium if the Softs don't make it. Use Race tires in events that allow it, of course.

You'll need 500 HP on some tracks, over 620 on others. More than that may be hard to drive on the Sport tires. Definitely go to GT Auto and put a wing on it, then go into Settings and max the downforce front and rear.

Use this chassis setup:

I use all those settings, but I turn the TCS up to 7.

To set up your transmission, many Gran Turismo players use the old GT3 Tranny Trick: Slide the Final adjuster full right to 5.00. Now slide the Autoset right to 25, then back left to 1 and leave it there. Your six-speed now has the closest-possible set of gears. Now go back and set the Final ratio for each track. You want to redline in sixth gear just before your braking point on the longest straight.

(You can win every event in the Supercar Festival series with this car, but be advised that if the VW Nardo and the Tommy Kaira ZZ are in the race on Midfield, you'll have to drive your butt completely off to beat them. It took me six tries to do it, but I had some of the best racing I've ever had.)
