I bought the Corvette ZR-1 and did racing modifications. I also did a set up I found here on the forums for the car. Fully tuned about 900 HP. I've been trying to race with it and do time trials but it's SO hard to handle. Is it just a matter of getting used to it or what? Am I the only one having troubles grasping this car?

Btw, I use the DFGT with all assists off because that's how I like it.

Somebody posted a tune for it here. Works great for me. Destroyed the competition on the Like The Wind Indy race. I'm 3rd on the Daytona one right now but that's just because I suck at that first corner. The car can handle it with ease.

Also, I strongly recommend ABS 1 on this one. Not sure if you can brake right with this beast without it. (other than that I too drive with everything set to OFF)

Haha yeah, braking is what's giving me the most problems because I keep doing it too hard sometimes. It's so hard to go around the Nurburgring without spinning! Definitely a handful.

No ABS in race cars! ;)

Seriously speaking though: i can understand people using ABS 1 if the brake pedal is as twichy as in prologue...

its pretty good how it is, get some racing softs and the understeer goes away completely.

I used it to complete the 'Like The Wind' Championship, and it was fairly easy. Won both races by a 5-10 second margin. You win a Toyota Group C car for doing it, which is really nice and can be used to win the All Stars series.

I found it quite agreeable using DFGT and standard tuning. Engine upgraded of course. Driving with all assists off, except ABS +1.

I would not consider myself a good driver, as I'm fairly new to the game. Took a few laps before I mastered the car. You just have to be gentle on the throttle when cornering, and don't accelerate too fast or you'll spin. Also, don't go all the way in 2nd and 3rd gear as the massive power is likely to make you slip.

Once I stopped doing 180s in the bends I was able to win on Daytona without problems.

Haha I guess it's time to put down my inner racer ego and turn it on. Only for this car though. Funny how I have more control of my Mclaren stealth than this.

I still don't have GT5 but in prologue i could manage with ABS off if i turned the brake pressure down to very low levels. This will make adjusting the brake balance harder though, but you might want to try that path too if you want to try saving your racer ego ;)

What i would pay them if they implemented brake settings the way they do in many of the PC sims: There is the master brake force setting and then a separate brake balance setting.
