was playing the euro classic in beginner and noticed the cote d'azur track to be very choppy or like the camera couldnt keep up with the action...is this what some refer to as screen tearing?

i raced a few other races and didnt really notice anything...hope my ps3 isnt giving out when i just got the game.

Cote D'Azur like London is very graphic intensive due to building being close to the action (the track/car). So you will get screen tear which is the result of frame drop.

Some game developer use a method known as v-sync to eliminate screen tear but only if the game can keep a uniform frame rate. If v-sync is used on a game with variable frame-rate (which GT5 has), what you will get instead is screen stutter which is the least desirable effect in a racing game.

well thats good to know...wasted a year of my life not playing this game...didnt want the ps3 to go as soon as i got it...lol

If you think thats bad, do a practice or arcade race (Professional) on Spa!

20fps all the way round!!!
