Hi I'm new to this site. I've been checking the fastest laps and there's some ridiculous times out there, more ridiculous than I could hope for but, I' did a 1.19 something (not sure exactly, PS2 not on at the moment) lap on Cote D'Azur in an untuned Nissan R92CP Race Car yesterday. I was fairly pleased with myself until I checked this site! It is, however, the fastest time for this course NOT in a Polyphony Formula Gran Turismo, is there any point in me posting the time? (Unfortunately I don't have all the necessary bits to verify it myself)

The best time posted is 1.11 something, so I'm miles off, I haven't tuned the car, and it was obviously far from a perfect lap.

I've gotten a 1.12.032 just a second ago with a completely stock F1 car. I know I can get 1.10's if I turn the hp up and the weight down and put R5's on it in arcade mode. I lost about 5 tenths on the last part of the track on that 1.12.032 lap. so really, I should have had a 1.11.5xxx, but I couldn't get that speed again. I got several 1.12's and few 1.13's, but nothing that quick again, besides, my patience wears thin very quickly.

rock. :icon:

ok, turned up the hp and turned down the weight and put on R5 tires in arcade mode. my quickest lap after about 20 mins was a 1.09.764.

rock.

Hi alex77, welcome on GTP!

There is always any point in posting times, as long as they are driven within the rules. You could motivate others to try to beat that time, or you could see how much you improved when you decide to retry the combo after a few months. Only make sure that you'll be able to verify your times in case your times gets questioned. But since you live in London, you don't have to worry a lot about that. Chance is that some trusted member from GTP lives near you ;)

Enjoy your stay here on the Planet 👍
