The Cote D'Azure race in the new seasonal (lightweight Brits) is absolute mayhem! I've never seen so many cars crash out in a seasonal.... I don't think I've seen a car crash out in any seasonal.

In fact, I was second with a lap to go, came around a corner (the one after you've been up the hill and start going down) and there was the lead car at 90 degrees to a wall, reversing out of a crash!

Has the AI been made a little more realistic??

Actually, I was around 5th, I think, coming up that hill on lap three and all cars in the lead group were involved in a massive crash at that exact location, which allowed me, while dodging some cars, to get into the lead right there. Was actually quite fun having to dodge all these cars.

Mt. Aso is pretty crazy too, I came around the blind right-hander before the straight and ran straight into the lead Elise going the wrong way. I saw several big offs at the right turn at the top of the hill before casino at Monaco. Fun races. The ring is great in an Elise 111r. Going to do them all in a Fireblade next.

Had a few multi-car pile ups, but early on, which helped!!

Haven't tried Mt. Aso yet.... tried the ring once, but gave up!:scared:

The Tsukuba circuit was interesting - about 6 cars rolling around in the dirt near the finish line trying to desperately get back on the tarmac. The last time I had such a good laugh was in the Supercar Festival when almost like playing simon says all the cars went up over that curve on the last turn and wiped out by flipping over and piling up.

The Mt. Aso seasonal is crazy! At the blind corner, every single car (including me) flew into the wooden fence!

Also had the lead car at Monaco spin out in the same spot and collected me as well. Same AI shenanigans at the last corner on Mt. Aso. Like lemmings shoot through the corner and straight into the wall. Lol. :-)

Too bad the damage sucks so it doesnt even look cool

Final lap of the Tsukuba race. Going into the final turn, it was me in first with my Europa, the Elise Sport 190 in second, and the Elise '96 in third. The Elise Sport '96 took the turn way too hard, slid into the Sport 190 and threw them both into the grass.

They ended up 4th and 6th, respectively, and it was hilarious.

Funny races with the new AI. :) Races? It's more a slalom run as a race. Everywhere smoke & spinning cars.

Last round, came around the last corner to the finish line (every spinning car evaded till now, yay!) and then: a Lotus doing donuts, a lot of smoke.
Thought i could pass him, but instead of getting the car under control he thought why not do more donuts on my line & BAM! Zero change of avoiding the accident.

This killed me on race.
I was taking the corner properly, the AI was crashing. I come through the corner on lap 3, the AI backs into me puts me 5 seconds back after almost taking the lead. Lap 4 I come through clean again the lead car puts into my side spins me backwards throws me 18 seconds back. Ugh the AI is driving me crazy :banghead:

Yes, Cote D'Azure is the only one I've so far managed to win with my Ginetta G4, almost by default really. The leader stuffed it into the barrier on the final bend of the last lap, I was quite close behind and just managed to avoid him as he reversed out. If anyone has tried the G4, you'll know that it is easily upset by any sudden movements! Or indeed any movement at all.

Saw lots of rear ends stepping out at Tsukuba, but no carnage like the Cote race. Not been to Mt Aso yet.

Definitely the AI of this game it's just BS, GT5p did a much better job.

Funny you should mention that, EXACTLY the same happened to me the first time I did this race. I come around the corner in my Caterham, asking myself where the 1st is, and there he is, trying to get his Elise out of the wall. Didn't even try to brake by the looks of things.

I actually like the new AI. The last corner on Mt. Aso is a great spectacle as well :)

on one lap of Mt. Aso, that last turn threw me straight into the fence, did some flips, then landed on top of another car upside down, then had me spawn right on top of another, needless to say, i lost :(

It is funny seeing them do that. I had a squeaky bum moment when on the last lap at cote d'azur trying to catch three cars ahead of me. I came round that corner and all I could see was smoke and 2 cars facing me with a third at 90 degrees on my drive line. Real squeaky bum time. No idea how I managed to evade the pile up. Needless to say I went to check my boxers later.
