So I found this car in used dealership that was 30k credits, had 30k miles on it, and was 319hp / 1418 kg. Problem I found out after I raced, but luckily won was that its top speed was 115mph. LOL.

So how do I fix this, will the 5 speed manual transmission fix this issue and raise it up, or do I need to buy a fully custom tranny which is pretty much not worth it I don't think.

The 5 speed gear box will probably lower the top speed, you are probably best off getting the fully custom one.

Thanks for the replies. So how do we avoid this in the future? How do we find out its top speed before we buy the car? Luckily the car is fast enough to get me through world classic cars. I don't know if it will be able to get me through muscle classics in amateur series though. I don't think the car is worth investing 20k into =/ dangit.

I don't think there's any way to know before hand. But a lot of the big old muscle cars didn't have very high top speeds. You'd probably find some of the lower powered Japanese and European cars will be the same way.

Is the car topping out at the redline or is it simply running out of oomph?

If it's the former then as already suggested you need to fit the 'fully' customisable transmission.
