I'd be very grateful! I have contacted Fanatec, but they have ignored my email and I'm sick of re-entering settings every time I play.

I've uploaded the CSR Firmware 7.06 to Fileserve and Mediafire.

It will save your settings and get rid of that high pitched noise when using it with a 360 👍

There is a word doc with instructions so make sure you have a Windows computer available for the update process.

Thank you for posting and uploading that. I made good use of it this weekend. Took a couple of tries to get it to work properly but everything works well now.
 
Yea that version can be a little buggy, but follow the steps to the letter and give it a few tries and it will work 👍 Although I don't know if it will fix non-firmware/bunked CSR's.

So my bunked wheel can be signed off to user error. The user had the opposite settings as the titles were misread, setting Linearity and Sensitivity in the exact opposite setting they should have had.
 
FWIW, I received my (regular) csr wheel two days ago, finally had a chance to hook everything up, and it came with firmware 706 already installed.

I had downloaded the firmware in advance thinking I'd have to manually update it myself, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it already on there.

Consider yourself lucky that you didn't have to deal with updating it. However, I hope a new firmware comes out in the next week or so...I want Auto Clutch!

What will this do and has anyone done it yet??

I was just directed to this thread since my CSR JUST started forgeting my tuning settings for some reason..
 
A lot of us have done it. It will make the wheel quiter when in XBOX mode and save you settings.
 
Ok it seems maybe this is for a 32bit computer..I have a 64 bit and Im having issues installing...It seems I cant install driver.....How do you install a driver???
 
Well I guees Ill answer my own question.............It came to me that I have an old laptop with 32x on it....So maybe in the next couple of days I will blow the dust off of it and try runing that way. I have looked all around and cannot find a 64x version of firmware 706
 
How can i check the current firmware version on my Fanatec CSR?
It got it since last friday..
