No. Never going to happen. Looks more feasable for a new PS4 GTA game. It looks like if these damage physics would take too much effort to develop just so you crash your car once every two months.

Ah, not this again. No, that sort of damage will never be possible with the current models PD have created. To have damage like that the cars have to be built in a certain way, with 'rods' and you can't just 'add' it to a different model. So unless PD rebuild all of their cars from scratch (lol) that won't happen.

The deformation was good. But the weight was way off (In some parts). It was like they were crashing on the moon.

I don't think its possible. What about aerodynamics ? The body will be constantly changing and this must effect the car at high speeds. Unless they just implement it as a visual (bonus)?

They will be in next gen games. That system is included in cryEngine 3.

The simulation shows no more promise than anything I haven't seen done by amateurs five years ago *one was amazing* Low speed crashes = fail
The thing is you will NEVER have an accurate damage system unless you model EVERY single nut, and bolt ,chases enforcement ETC ETC
PD didn't bother modeling the underside of bumpers the engines ETC so the deformation stuff we have is the best PD can do unless they model more of the cars .
