No it's not what you think.

Count the 'Fs' in the following
text: "FINISHED FILES ARE THE
RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC
STUDY COMBINED WITH THE
EXPERIENCE OF YEARS."

Do you think there are three?
Wrong - there are six.
The reason most people say
three is that the brain cannot
process the 'f' in the word 'of'.
Anyone who counts all six 'fs' on
the first go is a genius. Three is
normal, and four is quiet rare.
 
6 For me. I guess it wasn't completeley fair as I was rolling my mouse over it as I was reading.
 
Three. Whoah! What's up with that? That's a good one, Blake! I guess you don't read the 'of's as your brain knows they are there and just tries to pick up the information contained in the more important words.

EDIT: Okay then, get this:

"Fehsinid felis are the
rsluset of yraes of sifitnecic
sduty cmoibend wtih the
ecnierepxe of yraes"

The same text you posted before, but only with the first and last letters of each word in the correct position. Did you find it easy to read, or not?
