Countach anniversary freeze,s?

every time i get into a lambo countach anniversary the game completley freezes and i get the 3 beeps treatment..it only happens when the game has to display an image of any part of the car i,e, a garage photo or interior view b4 leaving the pits,,,anyone else had this ??? CONFUSEDDD
 
Could have a number of reasons. Do you have a disc game or PS store download?
If its a download, try reinstalling. It could just be something wrong with the texture file.
 
I have a disc m8..to be honest the game freezes on regular basis online especially,,and for loads of people i play online with..its def not a connection issue as i have 100mbs port forwarded internet..this game is a joke basicly..gt5 was sooo perfect never had an issue at all..
 
Could be a problem with the laser in your blu-ray reader or a faulty disc.
The way you describe it at least makes me suspect that the game freezes when it's trying to access a specific texture...
 
i know what u mean,,but this is a secound laser ive had since gt6 release,,brand new one fitted just weeks before i got gt 6..and this secound one seems to be one the way out,,its this game thats killing them ..because i only play gt6 and ghosts..nothing else..im not on all day everyday either every other day or night few hrs a time..im guaranteed freezing if i go anywere near bathurst or my beloved countach immedietly..its a disgrace to be honest,,i made sure for a change i got the special edition of gt this time round,as ive always slept in before..starting wonder why i bothered now.its costing me a fortune and annoying the hell out of me..i know quite a few gt die hards who dont even play anymore because of all the issues
 
A mod is just sitting, waiting to jump into action like a coiled spring in order to get you in trouble for using text speak on this website.

As for the issue, classic answer for GT5 problems is 're install game data' but I'm far too out of touch with GT6 to offer any useful advice.
 
Can you re-download the anniversary package? To me it seems like that specific car's data might be corrupt.

Yeah, I am wrong. Some wires in my head crossed that shouldn't have.

Doesn't he mean the actual Lambo made anniversary edition? There's a Countach that was sold as an anniversary model to commemorate Lamborghini I think.

He was talking about the gloriously premium and 80's coketastic Lambo Countach 25th Anniversary. Mine's looks identical to the one I had on my wall as a kid and I love it so much :p

One of my favorite new premium cars, because it's so fantastically 80's and it has a nostalgia value on me as well.

One of my favourite matchbox cars I had. And yeah, tt is quite 80s. In fact so 80s that I couldn't imagine driving it with anything else but black shoes and white socks.

I imagine I'm wearing a mullet, a pastel suit and loafers with no socks while driving mine in GT6.
 
Just throwing out an idea, how long have you had your PS3? Could it possibly be a hardware issue that isn't the laser? Otherwise, I agree it could be a bad disc.
 
If it's an original model PS3, then that'll be your problem. It's known to not be so kind on the old hardware, namely because it's actually ever so slightly different performance wise to both the Slim and Super Slim. GT5 killed my 60GB multiple times, so unfortunately I can't go and test it out. What I can tell you is that it works grand on a Super Slim! ;)
 
its a slim 160gb..no hardware issues..and i clean it out inside once or twice a year,i know the fat boys are weak when it comes to todays games..went thru about 5 of them lol..and fixed many many more for others..ill just put it down to another dying laser..played in my league last night and got away with driving my countach for two races,,but when i went to watch replays later BANG,instant freeze lol..because it had to actually show me the countach ,,weird as is all i can say
 
Maybe not quite related , but few weeks ago I came across constant "freeze" when/if I watched replay when using GT500 NSX base model in Brands Hatch S event . Race is OK , but after 10 seconds of replay , there's always a "freeze" in the same frame of replay . As long as I skip replay , no probs. Also no probs if I use any other car than NSX base model in that event , or if I use that same NSX in any other event (iA) on Brands Hatch.

Checked my Lambo ann. and no probs with selecting it , racing or anything else (replay) .
