i just bought CS and found out the office level isn't included, and I have to dl it from XBL. I don't have Live so that's outta the question. my question...

for those who downloaded the office arena, it it possible to copy the level to a memory card and put it on my xbox?

you probably got it in a halo/counterstrike bundle didn't you?

I don't know if OXM has any downloads for CS on their disks, but you could always check.

If that doesn't work, well, just pick up Half life and play CS for free on your computer.

Half life is amazing anyway, plus its like 15 bucks nowadays.
 
I know, i got hl on ps2, lots of fun. my computer is a wheelbarrow of junk, so that isn't an option.

how I got counter strike is a sad story, actually. I got condition zero for my computer, but it doesn't work too well. what I liked most was "Deleted Scenes" the kind of story mode that came with it. I thought that the Xbox game would have deleted scenes, and it didn't. pretty stupid mistake, huh? Imagine how angry I was when I found out that the office arena wasn't there. well anyway, I do enjoy hunting down bots with my sniper rifle in the Italy arena. and I'm planning on getting a second xbox (this one is mine, but the whole family plays it." so maybe I could link them and play like that.

shockingly, I don't have Halo yet.
 
halo is a much much better investment. Unless you are insane.

Get some buddies over with their xboxes and copies of halo and say goodbye to your free time.
 
i'll get a copy eventually. I played it before and got trashed in so many ways. I remember getting hit repeatedly by something like a hovorbike in this real open arena. it wan't fun, but the game was.
 
Yep it is, and its mostly all the older games for some reason most of the newer games dont support them. No idea why maybe because of AR?
 
you mean I canT copy files to a memory card? I am sure you can't save directly to it, but can't you copy the files from the xbox hd to a memory card!?! i'f going frantic! it's like not being able to get any caffine! i'm loosing my mind! i'm bouncing off the walls! I got cabin fever! I'm not wearing any underwear!

I NEED THAT ARENA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you can directly copy files to your memory card as long as there is enough space from your dashboard.

When they say "memory card compatible" they mean it can autosave and autoload to the memory card, and you can access it within the game. Basically that it is incorporated into the game menu.

right no i'm looking up xbox memory cards. i found one from AR (that's Action Replay, loud. like a gameshark) with 64 megs. but it's 50 dollars. i want the arena, but jeeze...

anybody with the office arena, got an idea of how much space it takes up?

Action replay is a cheating tool. I won't give any advice to cheaters!

Just kidding. I don't know, it would depend on the size of the map itself, which can vary wildly. I wouldnt drop the cash unless I was sure of it.
