1) I use the paddle shifters when racing online for all cars, b/c it slows me down to use the clutch w/ left foot breaking.

My Q is...I know that only higher end class cars have trannys that use paddle shifters. If I use paddle shifters on a car that has auto tranny or a manual/clutch does it effect the performance? Using Fanatec Elite wheel w/ Auto - Clutch enabled. I dont have any lag between shifts on lower class cars. I use to with my GT2 wheel that did not have auto clutch feature.

2)Is there a way to save a players storefront? It is a real pain having to type in the gamertag for every tune if you exit and want to go back and get another tune. There has to be a way. Thank you

I can't answer the first question but the second one I can. Once you're in a players storefront hit y I believe and one of the options is to save as favorite. You have to be in your storefront to view your favorites though. :)

If you are using the paddles w/out the clutch, the shifts will be just as fast as automatic. You are just in control of the gear you are in. However, if you use the clutch you can make shifts faster than either of the other two. Regardless of what type of transmission the car has. So you using the clutch with shifter in a 458 will be faster than someone using the paddles.

Ahhh...Ok, that's it...I saw the Y option, and did that, but I did not go to MY STOREFRONT. Thanks.

I am always using the clutch with the paddle shifters via auto-clutch enabled on the Elite wheel. ACL feature on the Elite engages the clutch(A Button ) while using paddle shifters. Also, what setting do I use....w/ ACL and paddles? manual w/cluth or manual for best performance? I know it is confusing. In other words....Are paddle shifters w/ clutch (ACL) as fast in the 458 as H-gate with clutch pedal?

watch the last video here it might answer your question. also you could
do some testing like this guy did hope this helps.
Perfect! Great info. Thanks.

Here's the crazy part...I actually have a post on THAT PAGE. My username is Zebrawire. I was joking with sonac the administrator. So much that I missed the damn info I needed with the video a few posts below mine.....lol

It really is a small world. :o Thanks again, couldn't possibly have given me better info. :D I still can't believe it. I visit the site every day.

Glad I could help, theres some much info on these forums you can't
possibly see or remember all of it. I have the CSR, I'm hoping we will
get a new firmware with the ACL soon. I would love see how much
of an improvement I can get on my times with it.

Yes, that has been mentioned by Thomas (CEO) The video clearly showed the advantage. I am going to do my own testing , just to see.

Now, if they could only fix the audio problems.(online chat) I don't see it happening, as they have issued a statement that it is all about MS technology, and they have no control...blah blah. Thomas is known as a geek/tech guy, so if he could fix it I think he would....just for the challenge if anything. That is why I believe you will be getting ACL also. Fanatec seems to be overwhelmed with all the new products, so it may be a bit. Never know though. Keep your eyes peeled to his blog for more info. http://www.911wheel.de/ That is a pretty big feature to some folks w/ car clubs and such. My Gt2 chat worked most of the time, but not the Elite. Very few work, from what I have been hearing. Does your chat/audio work on the CSR?

Once again, thanks so much for your help. See ya on the tracks, Zeeb
