Course Maker: Touge Courses??

For some reason, I am only allowed to select a course with 2 sections from the options in the course maker. This is true for all environments?

I'm almost positive that i saw images (before gt5 release) for point-to-point races through the course generator?

Anyone Know anything?
Did they really REMOVE the 'Course Type' Option.. :'(

Sorry, but it's a big fat NO for point to point right now. Hopefully it will be added in the future.
 
It's not that they removed it, it just isn't available yet. However, I expect the next update will just be a relatively smaller one designed to smooth out gameplay issues and fix known issues rather than add new content. It's what I'd so - smooth the foundations before building the house.
 
Yeah I was pretty upset to find this out too. So I thought I'll check the rally course to see if that is what it was.. only to find out that it wasn't the case either..

How can you confirm? At what level or event does it unlock?

I think he is implying that it will be back eventually. Technically it was removed from the game, we know it was in earlier beta builds of GT5 and for whatever reason Polyphony removed it. Hopefully they bring it back, we don't know if they will or not though.

I can confirm by extrapolation - to the best of my knowledge, the point-to-point course generator does not unlock at a particular level or by winning a pre-determined event. It would appear that in the current build of the game, there is no way to access it. However, given that Polyphony have said it will be in the game, that implies that it will eventually be made available.

Simple: if it was removed from the game, it would not be available at all. The connotation of "removed" is that it has been scrapped entirely. However, if it was not included in the launch build of the game, was never intended to be available in the launch build of the game and if Polyphony had/has every intention of making it available at some point in the future via an update, then the point-to-point course generator was never removed. It will simply be added to the game at a later date. Perhaps that is a semantic difference only, but I'm an English teacher by trade and I know how to read between the lines of press statements and media releases.
 
Almost a year and this still isn't released...why is PD holding back content?

I would seriously prefer this much more than new DLC content.
Just imagine a Targa Florio styled track, not to mention touge tracks...
Why PD??
